$3000 > $100 = Yes

So there once was this VP of Cisco. Then there was this guy in charge of Information Technology System (we just call it ITS I don't really know what it stands for) here at the University. Wouldn't you know it those two people were the exact same person.

So there once was this Motion Flight Simulator Lab that needed a router. Then there once was this VP of Cisco, who is now in charge of Cal Poly's ITS department, who told his minions that regular - around $100 - dollar routers would not "work" with their "system," only Cisco Routers that cost - around $3000 - would "work" with their "system."

Whew...and if you ask them why a regular router does not work they run circle around you.

Plus, just to let you know, the $3000 dollars comes from Student Fees. That's money we voted on to fund our projects. So why we have to spend our money on the most expensive stuff? Who really knows...
