Air Force One Security Compromised
Tag: Air Force Technical Order 00-105E-9
Title: Aerospace Emergency Rescue and Mishap Response Information (Emergency Services): Revision 11
Use: *For Fire Emergencies* *Intended to Help Both Civil and Military Fire Officials*
Clearance: *For Global Release*
THE GOD DAMN PROBLEM:
The technical order outlines key security points regarding Air Force One. The aircraft's entire floor layout is described including the location of key security assets - mainly the placement of Secret Service agents. Air Force One's defensive capabilities are also outlined.
One of the other oddities of TO 00-105E-9 is, its outline of possible terrorist attacks and how they might result in fires. Personally I would think any terrorist attack would detail a fire but here is this:
"...the location where a terrorist armed with a high-caliber sniper rifle could detonate the tanks that supply oxygen to Air Force One's medical facility."This information was published in the SanFranciscoo Chronicle and further picked apart by the Drudge Report.
The report outlined various information, like the material layout, of basically every aircraft in Air Force existence including NASA orbiters, and those of various agencies that use aircraft in their work. It even outlined, with diagrams, the material layout of the F-117 (while not naming the exact materials but instead there categories).
Obviously by now the information has been pulled off the internet (it was actually hosted on the Warner Robbins Air Force Base website), but the document is readily available in print and it will be nearly impossible to clean this up.
I say the best way to go about it is to get acompletely new aircraft for Air Force One. This way you get a new floor layout, new SS locations, and modified defensive abilities.
Good stuff Pentagon, good stuff...
