The Secretary of State today announced that the US is willing to join direct talks with Iran alongside the on-going EU talks.

But in order for the Iranians to directly talk with the Americans, they must stop their nuclear program. Erm yeah...

Iran responded with why the frak would we want to talk to you then?

(they didn't actually say that)

Why would someone give up something they want, in order to "talk" to somebody else. That's like saying stop using the computer, so I can talk to you about using the computer.
