A Square of Infinite Sides
That's what this (illegal) immigration 'stuff' is all about.
But I tend to be a realist and in that belief I will write the following. Below is transcribed from the comment I made on another blog:
Quite honestly while I agree with your negative viewpoint toward the whole debate (if one can call this crap lot of a situation, a debate), your statements dabble little in fact.
When you say we have a guest worker program and associate that with the green card program, they are two different things. In fact we do actually have a Guest Worker Program. It lets U.S. employers hire citizens of other countries for employment in the U.S. ONLY after they have met certain guidelines, guidelines that take some amount of doing to complete.
Also you mention our Senators and Representatives debating...in fact they are actually working on comprehensive bull crap legislation that will basically make them look good for the election year.
Furthermore the law as it currently stands doesn't really stand anywhere. You see there is a law that says you have to have proper U.S. government affiliated paperwork to be a citizen or thereof applicable person to reside in this country. However the constitution can be interpreted to state that 'laws made by the congress MUST be enforced by congress and there depedencies' (i.e. state government and then local governments). So what you are seeing here is really one the first publicly noted times in history where a LAW, literally a law of the land, is not being upheld, and whilst not being repealed.
Well I kinda just thought of that now...time to post it in my blog :P
